Considered website design for counsellors.
Your practice is your own. Your website should feel that way too.
Good design starts with listening.
Counselling clients often arrive unsure what to expect. They might have a handful of sessions in mind, be coming through an EAP with its own limits, or simply be reaching out for the first time. A site that explains this clearly does a lot of the reassurance before the first call ever happens.
We write within BACP and NCPS guidance on testimonials and confidentiality, and build pages that make sense whether someone found you through a GP, a workplace scheme or their own search, so the site works for every route a client takes to reach you.
I'm Jacob.
I build websites for a living, and after working across a few different industries I kept coming back to counselling practices. It's work with real, specific needs, and a generic template just doesn't respect them.
My background is in SEO and marketing, most recently with the marketing team at Boots Opticians. That means your site is built to be found by the people searching for you, not just to look good on launch day.
What I care about most is the person on the other side of the screen: someone who may have been putting off reaching out for months. Every page is designed to make that first message a little easier to send.

Client Testimonials
"I'd put off having a website for years because every option felt either soulless or way over budget. Jacob talked me through the whole thing without any jargon, and what came back actually felt like me."
"What I appreciated most was that nothing felt bolted on. The booking flow, the 'what to expect' section, even the footer, it all understood what a therapy website actually needs to do."
"I was nervous about how much of 'me' would come through, but every colour and word felt considered. Jacob also just got the ethics side without me having to explain it."
"Quick, clear and genuinely collaborative. I sent over some scrappy notes about my practice and got back a site that reads like a much bigger, more established one."

FAQ
If you can't find the answer you're looking for, feel free to reach out to us here.
-
Most people look you up before they get in touch, even if they were referred. A clear, warm site answers their questions about how counselling works, what it costs and what happens first, so the people who do reach out are already a good fit.
-
Yes. If you take referrals through an EAP or workplace scheme, we can build a section that explains how that works alongside your private client offering.
-
Yes. Every build is written with BACP and NCPS guidance in mind, particularly around anything that could identify a client or their issue.
-
Usually a discovery call, a couple of review rounds and some time gathering photos and details about your practice. We do the heavy lifting on structure and copy, so you're reacting and refining rather than starting from a blank page.
-
That's completely normal, and it's what the discovery stage is for. We'll talk about your work, the people you help and sites you like or don't, then turn that into a direction you can react to.
-
The package price covers design, copy and build. Your domain name is a small yearly cost, and hosting & maintenance is optional from £30/month. We'll set all of this out clearly before we start.
-
Yes. Once your site is live and paid for, it's yours, hosted wherever you choose.
-
We'll show you how to make small text and image changes yourself. If you'd rather not, the optional care plan covers updates, security and backups so you can get back to your clients.

The first step is a short call to talk through your practice and see whether we're a good fit. Please keep in mind that we typically book projects 1 to 3 months in advance.
