Who we are
ROOTED ("we", "us", "our") designs and builds websites for therapy and counselling practices. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use this website or get in touch with us, and how we use it. If you have questions, email hello@madebyrooted.co.uk.
What we collect
- Enquiry form data: name, email address, and any details you choose to share about your project when you submit our contact form.
- Email correspondence: anything you send us directly, e.g. by emailing hello@madebyrooted.co.uk.
- Basic technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) generated automatically by visiting the site.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and discuss a potential project.
- To deliver a website build or hosting service you've engaged us for.
- To keep basic business records, as required by law.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties, and we do not use it for marketing you haven't asked for.
Legal basis
We process enquiry and correspondence data on the basis of your consent (you contacting us) and, where you become a client, to perform our contract with you.
How long we keep it
Enquiry data that doesn't turn into a project is kept for up to 12 months, then deleted. Client project data is kept for as long as needed to deliver and support the site, and afterwards as required for our own accounting and legal obligations.
Where your data is stored
Data is stored with reputable UK/EU-based email and hosting providers. We don't transfer personal data outside the UK/EEA without appropriate safeguards in place.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@madebyrooted.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you think we've mishandled your data.
